Essential Job Duties
Marketing
 Oversee creation of marketing plans, media buying and creative strategies for all Public Appearances and Main Stage Education Series events
 Works with box office staff to secure ticketing service agreements
 Develops sales promotions and giveaways to support income and audience growth goals
 Develops online/digital/social media strategy for Public Appearances, including online sales and fundraising
 Works with box office to execute the highest levels of customer service and increase sales effectiveness
 Works with Director to create annual sales schedules and season package options
 Oversee production of all Public Appearances publications to ensure message and design consistency and publication effectiveness.
 Responsible for function and improvements of /to Public Appearances website to ensure maximum effectiveness of the site; work with IT to ensure functionality and upgrades
 Create sponsor proposals for event in-kind marketing sponsors that will maximize Public Appearances resources
 Maintains contact with and cultivates on-going relationship with in-kind sponsors
 Ensure highest quality fulfillment of sponsorship benefits and find opportunities to appropriately recognize our sponsors
 Maintains uca.edu/Reynolds website and creates all graphics/layout for Box Office ticketing website, uca.edu/tickets. Graphic design skills and HTML understanding necessary.
 Assists with school/educator relations for the Main Stage Education Series including teacher events, series school shows and public performances
Development
 Create and update levels of giving and benefits donors receive at each level
 Collect donations through ticketing software and transfer into UCA Foundation account
 Ensure recording of donor information is added appropriately and accurately
 Maintain donor reports during season and update giving amounts as needed
 Create and maintain list of constituent names by level for recognition in event playbills and lobby banner
 Write, design and send End-Of-Year appeals to prospective constituents and season ticket holders
 Fulfill all benefits to donors based on their level of giving. Design and send invitations to donor events and season announcement reception
Finance
 Help create annual budget for Public Appearances and Main Stage Education series, approx. $750K
 Implement annual budget into proper accounts
 Maintain expenditures budget
 Oversee all income: ticket sales, rentals, fees and playbill ad sales
 Create purchase orders for all purchasing needs
 Receive all invoices and send to Accounts Payable for payment
 Complete electronic and manual budget transfers as needed
 Construct and administer all proposals and bid requests for purchasing needs
 Prepare financial reports when needed
 Prepare post-event reports for internal use of profit and loss and event-related expenses
 Ensure accounting & reporting adheres to UCA cash handling and auditing procedures
 Prepare financial reports for grant proposals
 Educate and work with staff to ensure understanding of reports & other financial matters
 Prepare financial forecasts and projections for events and fiscal year
 Review monthly sales tax reports and ensure timely filing
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration. Experience in marketing and financial management in performing arts/special events related industry ideal. Knowledge of Vendini ticketing software or Banner System also a plus. Demonstrated skills in leading and managing staff and student workers. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, including all Public Appearances events (20-30 per year).

Overall Function: The Public Relations Account Executive (PR AE) is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of client projects including public relations and marketing communications.  The PR AE will develop communications programs in support of client objectives and execute those programs in cooperation with the client and other agency professionals.

Desired Experience: Bachelors Degree in public relations, strategic communications, journalism, marketing or similar field of study and 3-5 years of industry experience (agency experience preferred but not mandatory). The desired candidate should have strong media relationships, excellent writing skills and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

•  Serve as primary agency contact for assigned clients.

•  Plan, coordinate and manage the agency’s work for assigned clients.

•  Create and implement public relations and/or communications programs in support of client objectives.

•  Gather input (campaign, program and project) from the client and communicate it through written materials including news releases, conference reports, service orders, etc.

•  Work with the news media to generate publicity for client businesses and/or products or community relations efforts.

•  Plan, organize and publicize client-related programs and special events.

•  Coordinate with agency departments (i.e. creative, research, traffic) as appropriate to ensure that client projects are completed on strategy, on time and within budget.

•  Provide clients with work schedules and regular progress reports.

•  Review and approve all billing for assigned clients.

•  Assist Director of PR in compilation of agency income and workload forecasts related to assigned accounts.

•  Coordinate and participate in client presentations

•  Prepare and distribute client/agency communications (i.e. news releases, feature stories, news clips, etc.) using agency tools (i.e. Meltwater, TVEyes, etc.)

•  Take proactive role in business development by understanding client and/or potential client needs and identifying opportunities for growth.

•  Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of PR.

Youth Ministry Camp Seeks Applications for Individuals in Need of Minor Home Repair Projects

OMP Logo

Ozark Mission Project (OMP), a nonprofit ministry of the United Methodist Church which brings youth groups to camp sites across the state each summer to serve individuals and families, is currently asking for applications from members of our community who are in need of minor home repair projects. OMP is hosting camps during the months of June and July in the following communities: North Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Benton, West Memphis, Hot Springs, Little Rock, Texarkana, Marianna, Jonesboro, Rogers, Magnolia, El Dorado and Fayetteville.

Minor home repair projects can range from yard work and house painting to more challenging tasks, such as construction of porches and wheelchair ramps. To be considered for a project, each individual or company must fill out a one-page application requesting the type of service that is needed. OMP does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, income, nor religion.  Because of donations, OMP is able to provide service projects at no cost to individuals and families this summer.

“OMP strives to be a helping hand to Arkansans who, for financial, physical, or other reasons, cannot maintain their homes. Last year, our youth volunteers and staffers served 271 individuals and families in 25 Arkansas counties,” said Bailey Faulkner, executive director of Ozark Mission Project.

Southern Silks, the organization’s signature fundraiser, is set for 6 p.m. at Metroplex Event Center at 10800 Col. Glenn Rd. in Little Rock on Sat., May 5.

Arkansans can help Methodist Family Health celebrate the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby with this post-race, Derby Day-soiree that will include faux horse races where guests are the jockeys. Prizes will be awarded for each race, and guests will enjoy a Kentucky Derby-inspired dinner and libations, live and silent auctions, a hat contest, and much more.
